We have a new menu in “Gornitsa”!

After the long and severe winter everybody enjoys the sun. Besides, we need more vitamins. That’s why Tarmo Vasenius invented new dishes. They will be included into the new menu this month!

The film “The Onego Lake Petroglifs” (ancient pictures on stone) wins at the festival “Pulkovo meridian”.

Karelian directors Sergey Nikulin and Boris Kononov participated in the festival with their film “The Onego Lake Petroglifs – New Discoveries”.

The shooting of the film was sponsored by the Restaurant «Karelskaya Gornitsa». We organized an expedition to study the ancient drawings at the eastern shore of the Onego Lake in August, 2008.

As a result, the film “The Onego Lake Petroglifs – New Discoveries” was chosen to take part in the final part of the festival together with 20 other films.

The film became one of the winners and it was nominated the award “The Secrets of the Universe”.

Welcome to «Suomi»!

A new restaurant of traditional and modern Finnish cuisine was opened in festive atmosphere of the 19-th of December in Petrozavodsk. Finnish vice-consul in Petrozavodsk Pirkko Posio and representatives of voluntary organizations from the city of Yoensuu were invited to the ceremony. They highly appreciated the dishes from the Finnish menu, created by the Head Chef of the restaurant Tarmo Vasenius. The atmosphere at the opening ceremony of the restaurant was festive and jolly thanks to the music of the folk group “Sattuma”. The restaurant of the traditional and modern Finnish cuisine “Suomi”!
